Who We Are
The Rise and Rebuild Hope Initiative is a faith-based, community-led charity working in both the United Kingdom and Africa to empower women and children through healing, education, and practical skills.
Founded by a former teacher, author, and mentor for women in healing and empowerment, Rise and Rebuild was born out of lived experience—of loss, displacement, grief, and resilience.
From those experiences came a conviction: that no one should have to walk through pain alone, and that healing and empowerment must go hand in hand.
While its founder’s personal journey inspired the vision, Rise and Rebuild is powered by a collective of counsellors, teachers, Health Professionals, faith leaders, and community volunteers who work together to restore dignity, confidence, and hope. Everything we do is guided by faith, compassion, and the belief that transformation begins when people are seen, heard, and supported.
We believe that faith can rebuild what trauma has broken. Our approach is grounded in Christian values of love, service, integrity, and compassion. We meet people at their point of need—offering emotional support, skills training, and a safe community where healing leads to renewed strength and purpose.
Every child’s voice matters. The National Child Helpline provides confidential, specialist support to children in distress—linking them to social services, healthcare, police, and community advocates. It ensures that children experiencing abuse, neglect, or exploitation are heard, protected, and cared for with dignity.
We believe that when a woman is equipped with skills and opportunity, she transforms her community. Through training in sanitary-pad production, tailoring, soap-making, and entrepreneurship, women gain financial independence, confidence, and the ability to set healthy boundaries. Empowered women build stronger, safer families.
Mental health is at the forefront of our work. We recognise that society holds too many unhealed people—especially women and children affected by trauma, betrayal, and loss. Our trauma-informed programmes combine counselling, awareness campaigns, peer groups, and faith-based guidance to promote healing, resilience, and lasting hope.
Education is the bridge between survival and success. We promote inclusive learning for girls, young mothers, and children—integrating emotional intelligence, self-esteem, and life-skills training into education. By working with schools and teachers, we ensure that learning is not just academic but also healing and empowering.
The Rise and rebuild supports women and youth across communities with access to mental health education, skills development, and income-generating opportunities. Through our initiatives — such as tailoring, beadwork, and pad-making programs — we provide practical tools for self-reliance, while restoring dignity and self-belief.
Every individual deserves to belong and participate fully. Rise and Rebuild removes barriers for people with disabilities by making all programmes and facilities accessible. We collaborate with disability advocacy groups to provide inclusive training, leadership opportunities, and accessible community spaces, ensuring no one is left behind.
Whether in the UK or Africa, Rise and Rebuild stands as a testament to faith in action.
Our impact depends on partnership—with donors, churches, local councils, and compassionate individuals who believe in rebuilding lives through love and service.
